3ATI Vertical Speed Control

The TCAS Instrument is a simulated version of the Rockwell Collins TVI-920 Vertical Speed Indicator. It is intended for training and simulation purposes only. The instrument duplicates the original unit's external (front only) appearance and has a display and bezel that is identical in appearance and functionality.

The TCAS-104-002 uses a flyable AMLCD display for the highest quality reproduction. It is an excellent example of a full color 3ATI size simulated flight display and is one of a line of many high quality flight simulation displays manufactured by Panel Products Inc.

Video input: DVI or analog VGA, full color, 640 by 480 pixel, 60 Hz vertical, 31.5 KHz horizontal. The horizontal displayed image is a 480 pixel "cut out" section of the 640 horizontal pixels available.

Displayed resolution: 480 by 480 pixels, can be right, left, or center justified.

Bezel: Two momentary contact push buttons, "A/B" and "R". The buttons are encoded into a serial data stream, two codes are sent from each switch, one on press, the other on release. Bezel button illumination, 0 to 5 VDC or AC.

Bezel communication: RS232, RS422, or RS485 at 19.2 KBaud.

Power requirement: 12 VDC at 3 amps.

1. J1: DVI-I video input connector, accepts both Digital and Analog video input.
